Fort Bend Care Center was started at the end of 2017 as a ministry of Fort Bend Community Church. It began when members of the church recognized that there were needs in the community that were not being met, especially when it came to English, health, and financial empowerment. In 2018, Fort Bend Care Center was established as a 501c3 Non-profit Organization. Most of the people we serve live within a 5 mile radius of our center.

With 24% of people in Fort Bend County having limited English proficiency, this means over 171,000 people cannot fill out a job application, communicate with the doctor, or perform daily tasks such as navigating the roads or reading a bedtime story. To help people develop English literacy, Fort Bend Care Center offers Adult Education courses such as English as a Second Language (ESL) and English Conversation.
